MoMA > Meet Me
The MoMA Alzheimer’s Project is the nationwide expansion of MoMA’s art and dementia programs, including Meet Me at MoMA, the Museum’s outreach program for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. Funded by a major grant from MetLife Foundation, the project broadens the reach of these programs through the development of resources that can be used by museums, assisted-living facilities, and other community organizations serving people with dementia and their caregivers.
It is an interactive and deeply interpretive site that connects stories to places across time in Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, creating an enduring record of the city’s heritage. The site weaves stories shared by ordinary people of all backgrounds with historical records to present an interpretive picture that captures the rich history, culture, and architecture of its neighborhoods – past and present.
Behind-the-scenes blog, with plurality of museum staff voices, explaining processes more than results: assembly of exhibits, online collection, communication campaigns, restoration work, etc. All trilingual Spanish-Catalan-English. Readers’ comments are more frequent in the Catalan or Spanish versions (we’re in the process of merging comments of the three languages). In six months the blog has had more than 50.000 reads
